Payment Threshold

Definition

The minimum amount in sales or commissions that must be reached before you may receive a payment.

Information

A payment threshold is a certain level of sales that must be reached in order to receive your check or payout. If you are involved in affiliate marketing or a pay per click marketing plan that pays you a commission. For example the payment threshold may be set at $50. You may collect sales or commissions on ad that were clicked but you will not receive payment until you reach the threshold of $50.
