Glossary Detail
advertising network

Definition

It represents network of many web sites that are into advertising and that allow advertisers to reach out to their audiences through different channels.

Information

Advertising network acts as a platform to a number of media buyers to effectively campaign and coordinate thousands of sites across the web. The network campaigns involve ads that are set up on an entire network or on a category. These networks vary a great deal based on focus and sheer size. For large ad networks to work effectively; impressions running into millions per month and presence of premium brands are important. However for smaller networks, few thousand impressions spread across a month and presence of unbranded sites are accepted. Areas of concern for publishers would be regarding representation styles- exclusive and non-exclusive.
